OUR BACKGROUND
- Pramukh Swami Vocational Training Center (PSVTC) is the brainchild of Swaminarayan Vidyapith, Dharampur.
- Set in a predominantly tribal zone with minimal urbanisation, education or infrastructure villages in Dharampur, Dang, Silvassa, Umbergaon and neighbouring Valsad Districts, where a sizable population in the 18-32 age group is either facing unemployment or compelled to lead lives as migrant labour in neighbouring cities. Being a part of the landless poor and lower sections of society, they have little education but immense potential.
- It is this potential youth power that PSVTC seeks to harness by providing the youth with necessary education, skill-sets and industry- specific training. Thereby, we aim to engineer their transformation; from temporary labour to rising through the ranks as treasured and indispensable taskforce!
- Our vision is not only to enrich and empower the local youth to become skilled craftsmen, technicians or successful entrepreneurs, but also to improve the quality of life for themselves and their families, thereby making a concrete contribution to socio-economic growth of the nation.
